What would be the USE in having specifications if you met those specs and it still wouldn't do the job? Much more likely that stresses have exceeded the specs being the cause of the bent axle. Speed limits are NEVER a good reason for traveling at a given speed and road conditions should ALWAYS be taken into account. I really don't recall finding road conditions in Alaska and Canada to be any worse than found at many places in the lower states. Good luck / Skip
