I step on the top of the tire grab the bed rail and pull my self up. Not a big deal.
I am planning to fab a pull out step to be placed right in front of the drivers side rear tire when I get my 14/15 RAM.
AMP Research makes one but it is too far towards the front of the bed to do any good. My Dad installed one then returned it because he said it was useless.
BTW great choice on the hitch!
I have the same AMP Research step back for getting up into the tailgate. The quality is awesome and it's super convenient. I think fabbing up one of these for just in front of the wheel well is a great idea.
I saw something that the step attaches to a square tube that slides inside of a larger tube. When retracted and extended there is some type of pin that keeps the step from sliding out of in when not wanting it to. Have it figured out for current truck but getting a 14/15 so I will fab it up then.
The rear bumper AMP step is nice but their one for the side of the bed mounts too far to the front of the bed to be useful.
