Another newbi question I had my new b & w companion installed in my gmc 3500 dually today and found that the handle that releases the jaws of the fifth wheel is out of my reach my arm isn't long enough to reach up and over the two wheels and the bed to near the center of the truck. Any ideas or mods? Thanks

That's a problem with a dually. When we got our Hensely air hitch they came with a pipe that fits's over the handle to pull and a rod to pull the release with. Check to see if B&W offers that as an option.

You still have to be able to reach handle safety pin to remove/install it when hitching/unhitching trailer soooooooooSmall folding step stool.

ThanksWe bought a little folding two step aluminum ladder that we just toss in the back of the truck, like this:Step ladderor thisLadderI'm 6'2" and still cannot reach far into the bed of one of these HD trucks.BK

yep...I carry a milk crate in the box to stand on to close and pin my hitch...Regards

To your arm or the hitch? If arm, I would get both extended, as it would look funny with just one hand dragging on the ground!
