My be a blessing in disguise as with any insurance claim, they usually pay for the loss. Your homeowners insurance may pay for it as it was parked at your house and not on your vehicle. Then between the homeowners and the vehicle comprehensive, you may be better off to let them total it, take the money and buy a new one with all the bells and whistles you have plus maybe a few more. in addition, there may be some 2014 model years left that you like and get something very comparable to what you have. Make sure you read and understand your policy to insure you get all it is worth. If it is repaired, I would recommend something from the insurance and / or the repair facility that additional future items that may be related to this incident be taken care of without additional cost to you. We had a truck accident and the repairing, GM facility has a life time warranty on all repairs and was authorized by the manufacture as well.
Sucks yes, but do your homework, take lots of pictures and document all conversations, dates, times and who you talked to! Good Luck !!!
