Bad day, need input

I got called in for a 24 hr shift in the morning. So it will be Tuesday before I can bring it in. I have taken pics before I started cleaning it. I have all the windows open, the ac going to help pull the humidity out, and have vacuumed the water out of the furnace duct work. The question I have is water is weeping out from under where the steps are going up to the bedroom. Should i rip the carpet up and the wood there to let it dry, or just leave it along. I am also putting a tarp on it now. I was worried about the insurance because I had a fire that damaged the inside of my house and had to make a claim like 3 years ago. I have had state farm for almost 10 years and have multiple things insured through them. It worries me if I get dropped where I would go or if I could find somebody to take me. Its nuts I pay pay pay and when it comes time to use it I am affraid of what might happen.
