Do you have a reason to need an exhaust or just because you would like to have one? Either reason is good enough for me but we tow a almost 15000 alpenlite and we do not need an exhaust brake. good luck on your search.

I won't say you need an exhaust brake but I guarantee you would notice the improvement if you had one.

I don't remember if your dodge is a manual but if so you really need the exhaust brake. It is a great product for trucks.

  • I chose the BD VVT Brake and installed it this spring. My 5er is only 10K, but my gooseneck with typical load is 19-20K. I am very pleased with it.

  • I have a 2008 keystone Everest which weights in at 11,800 dry and about 13,200 loaded. I just ordered a new 2014 Montana which is 12,700 dry. its 900 lbs more then my Everest. I think I would like the extra breaking.
