GVWR 7,750 Pounds
The F150HDPP at 7850 gvwr and 4800 rawr with the 3.5 EB engine with the max tow package option would be a good fit for that small 5er.

At the high end would be something like the Laredo 255SRL at 27 ft UVW 7113 lbs.
This trailer shows to have a 10000 gvwr which equates to a 2000 lb pin weight. Now add another 300-400 lbs of people...a hitch....other gear can = to 2500+ lbs. This trailer requires a gas or diesel 3/4 ton.
You won't need a one ton anything unless you just want one.
A 450/4500 towing a trailer this light will be a butz kicker..BTDT and wouldn't recommend it. It sure wasn't fun.
Check out the Andersen or the PullRite Superlite hitches at 40-60 lbs. Very popular hitch types.
Sliding hitches ?? Depends on the trailers front corner profile. Many new 5th wheel trailers today have rounded/notched corners made for short bed trucks.
Your trailer mfg or the dealer can help you there.
