Battery Upgrade Photos?

We're picking up our new Crossroads Elevation toy hauler in about a week and I'm looking for suggestions for upgrading our batteries. I have four 6v batteries in our 12-year old bumper pull, but the installation isn't very clean. I'd love to see some suggestions and ideas for squeezing four batteries into the new rig.

    How exciting! What model?

    Homestead

Giant RV keeps delaying the order. Very frustrating.

you sure got a big one...45' long! :B

You got that right, Jason. As my neighbor the retired CHP commercial enforcement captain pointed out, 45' is a magic number that gets you a lot of attention from the LEOs. I think mine is technically 44.5'.

It's going to be a big upgrade from our 30' bumper pull. I can still remember the terrifying drive home from the dealer twelve years ago. Now it's time to learn to pull a bigger/longer rig. At least the technology has improved a lot since then and my new truck is more suitable for towing.

It looks like it will be ready to pick up later this week. Fingers crossed.

Since you're in Valencia you're probably less than 10mins where mine is stored. I went from 3ea.12V, to 4ea. U-2200, to 4ea. T-145 Trojans, 1/2KW Solar, Magnum 2012 w/BMK, etc. All cabling was replaced with 4/0 Super Excelene and custom crimped with waterproof shrink tubing and all installed in color matched slit wrap. PM me if you wanna go over and see it.. Better than pix :)

Have since added a watering system. Sorry no updated pic.

That's a nice looking setup. I'll have to measure and see if I have room for a box like that.

Having the fifth wheel only has the recessed area just inside the door under the fifth wheel hitch for installing wet cell batteries...

Most are already vented and has an opening for fluid drainage...

I thought this four 6VDC battery install was neat for the fifth wheel when I was looking years back using the TROJAN T-105 batteries....

Since I love battery disconnect switches I would do something like this for two groups of two 6VDC batteries in series...

Of course you will find many different ways to do this...
