I am familiar with that stretch of road and there are always some pretty high crosswinds through there. There are even big warning signs in both directions to that effect. I know with my bumper pull toyhauler I feel it a lot worse than I did with my previous fifthwheel and know to watch my speed in that area where you go in and out of cuts in the hills that funnel the air around the canyons.
