OP here. Just a quick follow-up. Received our new axle from James Norman at Forest River's Work & Play. The axle included everything already assembled and ready to go: axle, brakes, and leaf springs. Should be a quick install.
For anyone who recently purchased a new Forest River Work & Play, they offer an extended 1-year warranty (2-years total) for only $150 for most models. Our 2-years would have been up next month. Needless to say this extended warranty paid off in a big way for us.
