Charlie D. - I have been sitting here in Virginia for a couple of seasons now since I finally lost my BATTERY BANK... I'm just about ready to get a battery bank back on line for my OFF-ROAD camping... Of course just losing my battery bank is not a real good excuse for not going camping anymore - can add a single battery anytime... It has taken me a few years to come up with what I want now in my new battery bank and it is going to be real nice for me for camping off-trail as well as providing some back up power here at home. Kinda neat to plug in an extension cord to the off-road popup battery bank and run sometime for several hours haha...
I am planning on doing a real good maintenance effort on my OFF-ROAD POPUP on the wheel bearings and inspection of everything connected to the hubs and Shocks etc... My last big maintenance a few years was to relocate the shock mounts so they would have a more vertical position for better operations. Had to have a new plate welded in place. My two shocks were almost at a horizontal position with the original layout... The last time I was laying under my trailer I really was thinking I need to change the whole suspension scheme out for something like this... This would eliminate the rear axle setup and give better off-road clearance...
I don't foresee ever doing away with this 2008 OFF-ROAD camper... This type of suspension seems to be very popular with off-road campers down in Australia...

My State Inspection Sticker is way outdated now haha... It reads 9/11 hehe I drove on being suspended for a couple of years as I was not on any long road trips - just local camping here close to home...
I am getting up in age now so probably will not make many more long trips with my OFF-ROAD popup but still want to get back to two or three of favorite camping spots here in Virginia... Definitely want to get back down to the Smoky Mtns again and North ALA/GA favorite camping spots... I have also missed a few of our remaining family get-to-gethers at Myrtle beach as well... Might want to get back to Wichita falls for a last look at things - Wife has family buried in Gober TX...
here I am rattling on haha...
