Bedspreads

Wasn't sure where to post this. We have a fifth so I thought this would be a good place. We have a new fifth and we have removed the bedspread and shams for a more practical quilt. The bedspread and shams easily snagged and had no place to put them in rv when sleeping. Anyway my question, has anyone else put something different on the bed and what did you do with the ones that came with rv.?

  • Some folks will keep the original in storage for when they sell the RV - they keep the stuff they used and liked, and give the new owners the original stuff.

I don't think having the original bedspread will affect the value at resale, so do whatever is convenient. Give to charity, use for the house, cut up for rags, sell at a garage sale, or store and put back in when selling the RV.
  • The "decorator" garbage lasted just long enough to get it home. A nice quilt from Cracker Barrel and blankets as needed. I don't know where manufacturers get their ideas for some of this junk. A half dozen pillows with metal and fake jewel pieces, fake pearl dangles and trim that hurts when you put your head on it is just stupid. Ours are long gone.

  • We use the RV Superbag, which is a bedspread-like sleeping bag of sorts with removable sheets attached by Velcro. Works well, if a bit pricey.
