Been looking at 5ers

You guys are going to see me in this forum more as we are looking at 5th wheels. We have been looking for the last few months.
Today we went to look at a couple and found a 2005 king of the road royal villa. Wife fell in love with it as she like having the bathroom all on one side and not split like most. Unfortunately they took a deposit on it earlier today. Anyone know of other models that have the side hallway with side bath? We are looking at larger used units with a rear living room and opposing slides.
  • If you look near the 2007 and later era, you will find tons of manufacturers offered side isle floor plans with the enclosed bath, as it seemed to get real popular then.

Now it seems to be full size bathtubs in a split format again, as we had a tough time finding the side isle again for this year.

You should be able to find what you want in any brand in that era, just watch the weight. In addition to Heartland, Keystone Montana offered several.

Not real sure exactly which manufacturer you are interested in. We bought a Cougar (Keystone) 318 SAB about 3 months ago and love it. I think the floor model fits your wife's required layout?

    All the best!

X2. Our 318SAB was great-it also had a nice desk area, which is rare, and lots of storage space too. Our current 333MKS also fits your specs and has a huge shower.

    Good luck.
  • We bought a 3 slide TT with the bath on the left side before the bedroom which is in the 3rd slide out Opposing slides in the living room area.

Rob; one thing to keep in mind, when looking at FWs, is to match the trailer to the truck. If you are looking at larger models, you will need to know the trucks capability. Most sales people will sell a unit to a client, even if the truck is not up to the chore.

I hope you guys find just the one you are looking for. It is fun to shop!!

Here in Nebraska Rec vehicles are exempt from weigh stations. Guys around here pull 13,000+ fivers and 3000lbs pontoons tandem. I have never seen anyone get pulled over for doing it. mostly because they cant speed! Ha I think it depends on your use camping on weekend 30 miles away 3/4ton if you are living traveling around the country go ahead and get the F-450 with the Cummins diesel and the allison.photo tandem pulling

  • Kind of small, but look at my signature picture below. Outback makes a 5er model with almost this same floor plan, except the bed room is on the upper level. Almost identical. Is that what your looking for? I've also seen, several other brands make variations of this same floor plan in 5er's (and TT's) also.
  • Many of the newer 5r's have the more traditional bathroom (toilet, sink and shower in one room)with the side hallway. I did not care for the toilet in the closet or the shower open to the bedroom.

If you go to different manufactures like Heartland you can look at different floor plans.

    Good luck,
  • Our NUWA HitchHiker II has full side bathroom, center kitchen, rear living room with opposing slides
