So it went 20 min and still showing 14.5v. So i just reinstalled it (im getting pretty fast at that), but left the batteries disconnected. Still showing 14.5v. So im going to wait and see how long it will last without batteries connected.
It should stay above 13.6v if not connected to a battery...right?
