Best polish for gel cap and sides of 5th Wheel

I'd like to hear what's recommended for polishing my 5th wheel. I tried a spray application and liquid application, but the results were less than what I'd want. It still left streaks on the gel cap and the sides weren't as shiny as I'd expect.

What can you recommend? Thanks.

  • Actually Colonite was developed for the electric transmission industry for use on their insulators. Which ever you choose to use it's a fine product but goes away like all others.

Colonite fleet wax. Originally designed for airplanes, but does a good job on RV's too. Prep is always the key to a good wax job. The surface must be smooth and shiny to start with.

Do you have a preference over liquid or paste? Is one better than the other?

I have used both. Paste is easier to apply with a power buffer. Liquid is easier by hand. But when it is cold liquid can separate and be difficult to apply.
  • I've had good luck with Rejex on the nosecone. Bugs come off easily without scrubbing. I put it on once a year.
