My thought is the best time to buy is December,January February.
The RV business is dead at this point and dealers are willing to make a bargain sale just for the cash flow. I also suggest ordering your unit to get it exactly the way you want it.
If you are not real particular you could also get a deal on a unit on the lot. Although what's on the lot maybe a left over.
Shows are generally during the beginning/middle of the season when there are lots of buyers available vs. during the winter where there are no buyers available.
Do your research and know exactly what you want and how you want it equipped.
Get past the sales pitch stage. Talk strictly price. Email 3-4 dealers both local and distant. Let them compete for your business. Don't play games with them. Let them know you are a serious buyer be prepared to pull the trigger.
The technique worked for me. We got down to bottom line price real quick.
No sales pitches or gimmicks required. I told them what I wanted and the dealer placed the order.
