I'll throw you my 2 cents worth.
Buy local. Like the other guy said, get others price on the same rig and do your best to compare apples to apples. But be warned, dealers are not dealing like they were. The RV industry is experiencing incredible growth and it seems like everybody is buying now that the price of fuel is down. Tow vehicles are the same way. Dealers are getting top dollar for their trucks - no matter the brand and are striking while the iron is hot. So do your homework and be smart.
I am noticing a ratcheting up of prices at RV parks too. Demand is now out pacing supply for quality RV parks and prices are going up. More RV parks are being much more selective on who they let in to the their resorts, no RVs over 10 years old - no children under 18 - no dogs, etc. I doubt we'll see a reverse in this trend for some time - baby boomers are retiring at record rates and hitting the road in new rigs and trucks.
