Best truck for large 5th Wheel

Hello,

We need to order a new truck. I was wondering if you could share your experience towing a large 5th wheel (Solitude 378) and what truck you would recommend.

Leaning towards an F350 4x4 Crew Diesel but flexible.

Also, any input on 6.5 vs 8ft beds is welcome.

    Any 350/3500 duelly diesel would work fine. Might be a bit on the heavy side for an SRW.

    I have pulled my 35 footer with a 6.5' bed truck and have had no issues getting around or getting into campsites. A long wheelbase truck pulling a 40' trailer might different, though.

    I use an Andersen hitch with my short box, but there are other ways to go for sure. I'm sure that by the end of this thread, you will read about all of them. Lol
