- BrokenElbowExplorerI determined the same as BO Plenty. Air bags level the truck. An air ride hitch (i.e. TrailerSaver) will make a much smoother ride. At least it did for me. I have the TrailerSaver and MorRyde pin box. Great combo, very smooth towing.
- AllworthExplorer IIThe longer the truck's wheelbase, the better the overall ride!

I had a Ford F250 superduty V10 and it was a great truck but a vey harsh ride-stock. I see many Ford owners using air bags. My Chevy 3500 has a excellent ride stock with no changes. I like Mor/Ryde pin boxes. I do not see many owners with Chevy's using air bags. As far as performance both trucks are excellent. I have never owned a Dodge so I cannot comment on their ride.
Get a Ford or a Ram in the same configuration as your Chevy and they will ride just as good. ;) - C_SchomerExplorerI cut off the bottom OLs on the truck and installed rancho 9000s and bags with an expansion tank Then longer heavier springs on the 5er. Rides like a dream! Craig

- transamz9ExplorerRam is starting to use it on MY 14. I've have had air ride for a couple years now and it's great in so many ways, not just ride.
- alboyExplorerI find the airbags will soak up a lot of the roughness on concrete highways but hate the rebound effect when hitting a sharp dip.We had semi.s with full air ride, fantastic ride loaded or empty, don,t know why they havn,t being used in the heavier pick ups.
- SuperDutyManExplorerMy air bags do a great job on the ride pulling the 5ver,I run 32psi,nice thing about the bags is,I run 15psi not pulling the trailer, and they are softer than the springs, the truck is smoother than with just the springs.
- larry_barnhartExplorerI can just tell you our airhitch is an awesome product. On it's 2nd dually.
chevman - transamz9ExplorerGoing full air on the truck (no springs) is the only way to go for a smooth ride loaded and unloaded.
