I watched the X-Chock video in the link above. Their instructions say to un-hook the trailer from the tow vehicle BEFORE installing the chock and to remove the chock BEFORE hooking up to the tow vehicle...
Am I hearing this wrong? What holds the trailer from rolling away if parked on a slope?
My hard and fast procedure is chocks in first and chocks out last.
Use regular Chocks on the ground to stop the trailer from rolling use the X Chocks or Roto Chocks to stop the rocking motion when you are setup. You definitely don't want to depend on the X-Chocks to prevent the trailer from rolling.
Correct Most people don't understand that wedges on the ground should still be used to keep trailer from rolling.
This is my method. If your 32' TT has never rolled unexpectedly you have not lived yet! It's not pretty and your wife will yell at you, say "I told you so", neighbors will snicker and grin, someone will casually ask you how long you been RV'ing. Don't ask me how I know all these things. LOL
