Just for the record 17" tires are the dog for the pack for LT tires, with low weight limits.

I agree, I found my Dad a set of 3rd Gen Michelin take offs for his 94 he towed HEAVY with. After installing them we realized the 17's had a much lower MAX load rating. He was running at MAX weight for the tires for several years and thousands of miles with no problems.
