Alternative solution: Consider getting folding bikes! We'e had a pair of folding Dahon bikes for years. When they're folded, I think they'll fit in your truck bed. If not, they can ride in the trailer or possibly in a storage bay. Dahon bikes aren't the cheapest, but they are a good bike. And, there are quite a few makes and models available starting with the inexpensive (under $150) that you can find at Camping World.
