Big problem with my 2015 Fuzion

Went to run out the main slideout when we were setting up today and it bound up, pulling one of the lower cable brackets loose from the slideout. Something has swelled to the point that it won’t go all the way out. I can’t tell if it’s the floor under the slide or the floor of the slideout itself.

It’s within 6” of being fully out so we’re going to try to enjoy the weekend anyway but this sucks. Not going to be easy or cheap to repair. I have a couple of friends here with me to help push it back in when we leave on Sunday. Anyone ever experience something similar?
  • Doing some late night research on the cable slide systems. Maybe it isn’t a swelling/binding issue at all but just cables out of adjustment to the point that the slide binds? It’s never given me trouble before though so I don’t know what to think.
  • Did the cable pull out or break as the break is cmon if they are not adjusted right which tells in your owners manual its up to the operater to make sure the ends stay aligned true to the holes so not to pinch the cables when the slide is closed

The cable itself is fine but the bracket was torn loose from the slide.
  • Check the slide floor underneath for sagging or soft spots. Sounds similar to what I experienced on my 2014 Fuzion. Seems they put different floors in the kitchen and main slides.

Curious, does the entire slide have to come out to replace the floor? I assume it does?
  • I have repaired the bracket and was able to get the slide all the way out, back in, and out again. But it’s making squealing noises it’s never made before.
  • I was told that the slide would have to come out to fix the floor. That slide was a problem from day one. The first time I saw the camper the cable mounting bracket was separated from the slide wall. Dealer fixed only to have it break off again. I think the issue the whole time was strain from the weight of the couch on the 'soft' floor. Your kitchen slide floor should have the 1" riser on it, more solid and different from the couch slide.
