So.....how come? If it is a leveling system, does it really not know what "LEVEL" is? If that is the case, I would really have to manually level the thing any time I'm in an un-level spot, right?

Once it has been calibrated properly (told what level is) it will be able to go back to that "level" position (NOT leg lengths, but unit level)
So when you push auto level the legs (that aren't down yet) will extend to the ground and then all legs will adjust until the TRAILER is "level" regardless of the terrain (within range capabilities of course)
