Same as comments above. I've pulled with a Superglide for 6yrs and 50k+miles and love the hitch. Can't believe it was anything but operator error.
Look to make sure pull lever in all the way in, check to see that wrap-around jaws are around kingpin and that you're not high-hitched. If you do both of these things I can't imagine how the Superglide could fail. Maybe there's a way, but I can't imagine it.
Always double-check the wrap-around covers the kingpin and not high-hitched, ESPECIALLY if it's been a while or you're distracted.
