Birds in pin box

went out to the FW and found birds have been living in the pix box, to early for laying eggs so I want to stop them now any ideas?, short of a big trash bag and duct tape.
  • I had robins nest on a small storage box under the overhang, never thought to check the pin box. With our early spring weather I best get on that before they get any ideas.
  • I took birds for a ride last year, hope they are enjoying their new home. I put some metal lathe I had laying around inside the pin box and haven't had any new tenants.
  • The beach ball is a great idea. I seem to hit the storage yard a little too late, and end up taking some baby birds along with us. Not a good feeling knowing they will not survive long.
  • Take a large inflatable beach ball that you find in the dollar stores. It will inflate to form the cavity and keep out the birds. The best part is that you can leave it in place and just replace in the event that it develops a hole.
