Don't close the drain while running the flush.
Yes bad things can happen!
This is my method and my tank is spotless.
I open the black tank valve when the liquid flow is down to a trickle close the valve. I have a clear elbow.
Now there is no way there is more than 5 fpm of water going into the tank thru the flusher. So I open the flush valve and set my timer on my phone for 6 minutes, When the timer goes off I open the black valve leaving the flush going. When it starts running clear I close the valve and set the timer for 6 minutes again. Now I open the valve and let it run until the water is clear. Next I close the valve set the timer for 1 minute then when timer goes off I turn off water supply.
I will do this once a week with my wife and I using the toilet that seems to be about right. The sensors are useless. I will do this system the day before I travel so there will be enough liquid in the tank to slosh around.
USE A TIMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
