Black Tank

Last weekend we went camping for the first time this season. Whenever we flushed the toilet a very foul odor came out of the black tank.

Last fall when we put the 5er in storage we did our usual prep. We've never had this happen before.

So what can we do to get rid of that odor? We put twice the usual amount of treatment into the black tank last weekend and it didn't seem to help much.

    Climb up on the roof and check your black tank vent pipe. Make sure it isn't plugged/blocked..(bird's nest, whatever.)

    If you have several weeks between camping trips I would suggest dumping and flushing the tank first, then add Rid-X and fill the tank about halfway. Dump at your next campground.
