Black water won't drain

Had this trouble once and went on the internet to find a cure. Ran into this one suggestion and it worked the first time. Take hose out of sewer, Hold the hose as high as you can while filling it with water from a hose, Meanwhile have someone by the lever (closed lever) and while while he or she quickly opens the lever the one holding the sewer hose quickly puts the hose back in the sewer. It is supposed to create a succession.

This is the infamous Pyramid of Poo!!!

It is caused by several things, not using enough water when flushing solids, leaving the drain valve open all the time, and bad pipe install.
This needs to be worked from the toilet side.as nasty as it sounds, you need to get something through the toilet into the tank to start breaking the pyramid up and get it cleaned out.

Problem solved, we never would have figured it out without the help here, thank you all so much. The black was not full. The pyramid was before the tank in the line that has two bends. My DH kept working it with a snake from the top, finally it went down a little and we poured very hot water in, kept working it and adding hot water until the drain water stayed down. Lesson learned, thank you all. Word for the day, pyramid (that isn't in Egypt). Safe travels.

Just remember.... Keep black tank valve closed untill tank is full then dumb. Use plenty of water when you flush.

Glad you got it resolved. Just keep adding lots of water to soften thing up. Also won't hurt to occasionally stir thing up from the top as well as adding some RidEx to help digest things.

And one other thing never put your tp down the drain i know it sounds gross but place used tp in a trash can next to the toilet and throw away daily that way you have more room for the other stuff and use lots of water i bet the clog was caused by using to much tp and the wad got stuck and backed up everything

I find that suggestion really disgusting. The RV holding tank works extremely well when used correctly and when using tP that is recommended for septic systems along with plenty of water as indicated in the owners manual.

Double yuck dude!
Fulltime almost six years. Still spend 6 to 7 mo. on road every year.
Only one time we ever had a problem was not using enough water. We use that double ply septic safe stuff.
No feminine hygiene products or kids toys allowed in toilet. We use no holding tank chemicals nor does many of our friends.
