Anybody using the Blue Ox super ride hitch? If so give me some feedback on it.

Thanks

Crickets. johndeerefarmer, I think you need to take the leap and supply us with a comprehensive review.

Confirmation as to how poor the website is as a member visited it and didn't realize it is movable hitch for short bed trucks, comparable to a slider.

    Merry Christmas.

    No problem.

I wrote Blue Ox over a week ago and sent them a list of questions about the hitch. Once I get those I will post them here and then make my decision about the hitch.

    Merry Christmas

It's the same price or cheaper than the B&W Companion slider so I don't think cost is the issue. The Pullrite and Demco are a couple of hundred bucks cheaper but not enough to make someone not buy it.

Blue Ox as someone mentioned above has a sorry website and there isn't much info around on the hitch nor can I find any one currently using one

Yeah, but that's not apples to apples, you're comparing a slider to a fixed hitch. B&W non-slider Companion is like $500 cheaper than the Blue Ox non-slider.

But I do agree their website is pretty bad, their top menu drop downs don't even work on a mobile device.

The Blue Ox is a slider therefore I am comparing it to the Companion Slider. Blue Ox just rotates instead of slides which allows 11" of travel

It's the top hitch my dealer recommended to me. The ultra high cost has the be one of the main reasons you can't find much info on it.

  • I had to look these up. As much as I like my Andersen, if this had been availible it would have been in the running to buy.
I like that it locks to the gooseball & not restricted to a specific shank like BW
  • I'm also curious about the hitch and as to why it gets virtually zero mentions on this forum. It seems to check a lot of boxes; articulation, cushioning, lightweight and wrap around jaws. I think some of the problem is their poor website and ads and video that fail to tout their fore/aft articulation.
