I agree I wouldn't have taken the Marine Corp method and beat up my truck...LOL...
A phone would have been more effective than the emails...but in the end the finished product doesn’t look to bad and it suits your needs for the all important grandkids...and equally important Grandma…
I think the idea of what was supposed to be a simple mount is great, but they need a new measuring crew...
I would like to know more about the Reese and Curt hitch systems as I too have the dreaded bike dilemma when we travel. We have a rack on the rear of our 5er but you can't see what is going on with bikes and it extends the rear another 3 feet or so. With the racks mounted to hold the bikes in place you can't fold it up all the way and sometimes that extra 1 – 3 feet of clearance can make a world of difference when backing into a spot.
