  • Great ideas guys/folks!
Outside of HVAC, I'm good with all electrical (electronics guy)
and plumbing is also not an issue. I'm a visual memory person, once I can see it in my head I can work it out.
Love and will create the book once I have the toys RV trailer.
We almost have one for the house, it is all in a folder.
    thanks again all -

  • Welcome Rob........

    Make your OWN book

    Take pen/paper in hand.
    Write down each component/appliance BRAND/MODEL.
Then goggle that BRAND/MODEL Service Manual

Download/print out and place in 3 ring binder
YOU now have your own specific manuals for your stuff

    Fridge....B/M (Brand/Model)
    Furnace..B/M
    A/C Unit & T-stat...B/M
    Oven-stove top.....B/M
    Water Heater....B/M
    Water Pump.....B/M
    Jacks/Stabilizers...B/M
    Toilet.....B/M
    Slideout .....B/M and TYPE

Chris Bryant (RV Tech....member) has put together a LOT of these manuals HERE

When done you will have a better manual then MFGs provide for their RVs
  • Hi Rob - Welcome to the forum. Hopefully we can help you get on your feet. There's a lot of systems to figure out on an RV. And it seems like no two are built the same, so it's up to you to figure out some of this stuff on your own. There are plenty of good people who can help you over some of the bumps.

This book talks about most RV items. It is basics. This along with your specific owner's manuals should help.

RV reefers, A/C, furnaces, etc have not changed much for a long time. We have this book in our RV along with owners manuals. No batteries, no screen, you can write notes on them.
  • Thanks one and all - will keep checking for others input...
  • Recently when I had an issue with my furnace, I started a google search and it still amazes me how much info is on the internet. The more specific you are about the item and an issue, the better the results.
