Wow, I, too am glad it didn't fall on the interstate -- with my luck, I'd have been the poor guy behind you!
And it was also my guess that somebody forgot to install needed parts. It happens, unfortunately. My TT, somebody forgot to tighten the trap on the shower, so first shower had water running across the floor.
