Brands/models with Bunk house

At some point in the next year or so I plan to upgrade my Coleman CT274BH as my kids will have outgrown the Futon, and even though it has twin bunks, we have 3 adults too. What I am looking for is one that has at least 3 maybe 4 bunks along with the Queen or king. Would also be nice to have some open floor and entertainment area where all 5 of us can sit and watch without craning our necks or having to sit on the bed. Not looking for anything fancy though, perfectly content with the Coleman for our needs since we aren't living in it for more than a couple weeks and weekends a year.

The Grand Design Reflection 28bh has 2 bunks in the rear but they're double wide bunks. 2 of our triplets share a bunk, and the other gets his own.

The nice thing about the 28bh is it has a double wide refrigerator.

Another option is the lighter Reflection 150 series 290bh, which has a triple bunk in the back. Only downsides are that it has a smaller refrigerator, tiny microwave, and no auto-level jacks.

We liked the 28BH quite a bit, however we chose the 290BH because it had 3 bunks instead of the 2. I really liked the rear storage and master BR slideout for the closet/linen storage. It actually felt bigger on the inside than the 290BH, even though its actually about one foot shorter. While we're happy with what we got, the 28BH is a really nice option.
  • Strange, but I found the notification in my spam. Can't trust email systems anymore. I am still on the fence on the truck to get, but there are some good ideas here that will help when the time comes to upgrade. I will need a triple bunk, and those I am having a difficult time with. What I find usually has a sofa as the lower bunk, and would rather have the bunk itself.

    Thanks for the ideas.

The Grand Design 290BH fits that bill perfectly.
  • It's about 20K above my current price range, but in a couple years it might be where I want it. Not camping enough to warrant something above $25K at the moment, but that can always change.

After losing my 2014 truck, and finding my 2016 truck tows like ****, we did half as much camping as the first year, so for now, will first get a good TV, and then after a year or two, if we are doing a lot more camping then I may go to something like this. I am adjusting the budget to allow for a more expensive trailer too in the next couple years, so it might just work out too.

Though it may still be over your budget, without regard to where you live, I know you can get into the GD 290BH for around $35K in FL without too much trouble.

the one thing about the 330rbk I mentioned before is it isnt a reral sofa but a cuddy couch so it unfolds into a foam bed and you can take it right out if you want so you have tohe option of a couch or half or all into a bed. it makes it sleep 4 in the bunk room.
