You certainly should check with AAA or whatever carrier you have to see what their specific policies are. Our truck broke down, towing, on Highway 12 Cape Hatteras NC 5 miles from the campground. After a lot of calls while sitting on the side of the road we found out that AAA did not have a vendor in the area who could handle our rig. We had to call a tow service who towed both vehicles to the campground and then the next morning towed the truck to the Ford dealer. We had to pay out of pocket but then we were reimbursed by AAA. It was a hassle but it turned out to be a great week.
