Bridgestone R250 Tires

I had to get a new Bridgestone R250 Duravis tire and when put on there were problems but the tire was manufactured 35th week of 2013 and I complained I wanted a tire manufactured in 2014. No fault of the tire store the tire was defective so was replaced and that tire was older, manufactured 18th week of 2013. The guy at the tire store said that is what the warehouse has on hand and he talked to Bridgestone and they told him "they have not newer tires manufactured" Is that even possible or is he blowing smoke up my ass? I spent over $300 for this tire and it is already a year and half old. That is not good at all and told him I was going to check it out. HELP!!!!
Thanks in advance

I don't know what they have. But I have on our trailer tires made 50th week of 2013. They were bought in early June. So Bridgestone was making 235/85/16 tires in December of 2013. Other sizes may have not been in production.
  • I bought a new set of 235-85-16 ribbed R250's at Costco @ $195 each last week, with $70 Bridgestone rebate. They're to replace my brand new 5th wheel's Chinese tires.

I cannot get over how heavy duty they are. The sidewalls are bead to bead steel plies, and the rubber's 1" thick.

And the price was so much better than G614 Goodeyears or the Michelin XPS Rib tires.
  • I believe mine are LT235/85R16 Cost over $300 a piece.

Someone saw you coming! Or you failed to do your home work. Chris
  • I paid less than $800 for 4 of those exact 4 new tires including tax, balanced and mounted on rims at Costco in Mesa, AZ last April. So your price is $100 per tire higher. Something doesn't compute. Even Michelin Ribs in that size were not that expensive at Costco at the time.
  • AH well I had a flat tire so not time to check pricing etc but am pissed and am in contact with Bridgestone about age of the tire. Actually it was the 28th week of 2013 that they were manufactured. Live and learn!
