UPDATE: I have called many places including mechanics, a mobile RV repair guy and a tow company. I think the coach is unsafe to drive its current condition, and I'd prefer to have it fixed right here at home.
I could live with fixing the 4 broken shackles enough to drive it to an axle place. The tow guy offered that solution since they have no flatbed big enough. Thanks to Up2nogood for cautioning me about driving it.
For what it is worth, I experienced the same shackle failure and did not discover it until after I returned home from a 3000 mile trip. Occurred somewhere along the way and I am convinced that it was not during the last week of driving.
I guess ignorance was bliss!!!
Fortunately nothing else failed as a result during the return trip.
Ignorance is bliss, would you have driven 3000 miles if you would have known ???????
Doubt it, but it sure was a lot easier dealing with the problem at home where the RV repair facility is four blocks away from where I store the RV.
