Just had a repair made to our 2014 Open Range with the same issue. Turns out that the drain pipe was just a wee bit too high into the shower causing an upward force on the drain so that when you stepped into the shower your body weight was pushing down against the drain. Eventually the shower floor pan cracked right at the drain.
