Broken Shower Stall Glass?

I have a 2007 Wildcat 27RLS. It sat in storage for 3 months this summer. When wanting to use the unit in Sept. I found that a panel in our shower was shattered. I now have a new glass ordered and find it is very expensive. Our dealer told us he didn't think it was from the heat from sun shinning through the sky light. Any comments?

Also, while the dealer was repacking my wheel's he found a buldge i
n a tire. Carlyle tires any comment on these. Dealer stated that they are the worst tire we could have on the RV. Have only 10,000 miles in less than 3 years of use. And, I keep them covered. Comments please.
Happy Rving!!
  • Shower stall glass would be tempered glass.
    Yes, it is expensive.
    Replacement should also be tempered.
Better to have little glass cubes than glass slivers if it breaks again.
  • Check for glass with a glass and mirror professional company. Might be a pleasant and less expensive experience. I never had glass break so couldn't imagine why that would happen.
  • Had the shower door shatter for no reason. There was no one in the trailer. Talked to someone else who had the same thing happen while watching Tv in the main area. He said it sounded like gunfire when it went. Never did find a reason mine went. Trailer was about 5 months old at the time. Little pieces of glass went all over the bedroom and down the stairs of my 5er into the kitchen. Mine was replaced under warranty but there was a bunch of discussion before they agreed to it. I know they thought I broke it, but I really didn't.
Can't speak to your tire question.
  • Welcome to the forum.

    1. That is most odd considering the RV was sitting when the breakage occurred. Keep us posted. We've always said if we ever have a broken shower stall glass panel we'll use that as an excuse to rip and replace our shower with a radius shower stall.

    2. That is probably the only honest statement ever made by an RV salesperson. Carlisle tires? I wouldn't buy'em for my lawnmower. The U.S. military should use Carlisle tires for target practice.

Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!:)
