I like to buy off the lot so I can see if there's any leaks. Even when new they could leak and I don't want to start off with this kind of problem even if there is a warranty.
Same goes for many other things;
Drawers not mounted correctly
Cabinets not mounted correctly
Cosmetics anywhere
Etc.
If on the the lot you move on, if ordered sure they will fix it ... have you taken anything to a RV dealer and had them fix it...correctly and not hide it?
Autos I order, not RV's most of what I read on lemons is from people that ordered. It could be because most RV's are ordered, I don't know.
This is why, if you order one, you do an extremely thorough PDI =before= you make final payment and sign the paperwork, and you don't do either until any issues you find are fixed to your satisfaction. Make sure the dealer knows this before you even place the order, too, and if he/she doesn't like it, take your business elsewhere.
FWIW, it would make a =very= interesting poll here, of people who had problems and whether their unit was off-the-lot or custom-ordered.

Exactly, Since the unit is just for you they call you when it's in and you come in to personally approve EVERYTHING.
I don't need it to sit on the lot for a month in order to check it out!
