The "flaw" bothered you enough for you to take the time and post about it. It has bothered you enough for you to ask for advice and answer replies.
When posting about the potential purchase of a brand new unit and accepting the flaw you seem to have doubt regarding the issue and rightly so. No one knows for sure what is protruding and it is a gamble. You are gambling that it will remain the same and not get worse or you are gambling that it is an easy fix for the dealer at a later date. Personally I would not accept and/or purchase a new trailer and leave the dealer with a visible protrusion or "flaw".
