I have an Open Range 399. It will fit the bill. Not sure what negative reviews or things you have heard but I have had no major issues in 3 seasons. OR has a 2 year warranty. I don't consider OR perfect however they do stand behind their product.
I agree Open Range has a unique look their interiors and exteriors are not the same old dated look. They are actually innovative and think outside the box. The units have lots of standard features and are typically 1000-1500 pounds lighter than the competition.
Despite the negative reviews you have heard you have 3 posters promoting OR so far in this thread. 2 of them actually own an OR.
