Buying fifth wheel
I need advice on whether to purchase a fifth wheel as my first camper. My son (25yrs old) and I have never pulled a camper before. I have gotten some great advice as to not buy a TT for my first camp...

5th is the only way to go in my opinion, I've pulled many different types of trailers over the years (this 5er is my first camper) and 5ths are way better pulling and more stable than a bumper pull for sure. Some states are different but most require a 5th wheel if you want to pull a boat, jet ski, or atv trailer behind it. I tow a jet ski behind mine. Of course size is a factor and so is the tow vehicle. Smaller bumper pulls are more easily towed with short box half tons. If you want a fiver you will need a Ford with a 6.5 foot box (Chevy doesn't make one that big in a half ton) or a super duty depending on weight and size or an expensive slider hitch if you have a short 5.5 foot box.
