Buying fifth wheel
I need advice on whether to purchase a fifth wheel as my first camper. My son (25yrs old) and I have never pulled a camper before. I have gotten some great advice as to not buy a TT for my first camp...

Ditto - We started out with a 32' 5th wheel and 3/4 ton diesel truck. Just traded for a 1 ton dually in anticipation of getting a bigger 5th in the next year or two. After having a dually, I wouldn't have anything less than a 1 ton dually for a 5th wheel 30' or bigger. The 3/4 ton handled our trailer just fine but the dually gives you alot more stability and the option of a bigger trailer in a few years without having to trade trucks. It takes alot of $$$$ to upgrade the trailer and tow vehicle at the same time.
