B&W Companion Slider

After several outings with my trailer I've decided I really didn't need the slider hitch after all.
With the rounded front on my trailer, I've never had to slide it back to manuver it, and I've made some tight turns. I can save some weight by going to the regular Companion hitch too.

  • Might just as well keep it. It is going to cost you money to sell it and buy a non-slider. Used hitches don't return a lot on your investment..

  • I'm not overly concerned about taking a hit on the cost. The Slider is much more difficult to take in and out, than the standard companion. A buddy of mine has the non-slider and its so much lighter and easier to remove. I figure if I get enough out of the slider to buy the standard, I'll be happy.
  • I have the Companion slider as well. The base at 208#'s is definitely not light. I installed a pulley system on the garage ceiling to help remove it. I haven't needed it yet either however, I'd rather have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.
