Just wondering if you can pull a wheel with the Companion slide ln rear slide position?

We followed a large fifth on 93 in Nv. leaving Wells we were behind this fifth and the wind was hitting us from the west. He was having a real problem and the rv and truck were all over the road so I was afraid to pass. when we did it was a flat bed 2500 Ram with the hitch at the very back of the bed. not enough truck and he was probably very tired at the end of his drive.
