Just wondering if you can pull a wheel with the Companion slide ln rear slide position?

Why not just adjust it where the hitch is in the rear position? Mine allows me to move it back 6" or more. When you pull the 5th wheel off the stands. Those stands should allow you to bolt them back more then they are now. And that will remove some weight. But if your overweight on the steering axle. Trying to run with the hitch toward the rear will not be a good ideal.
Sounds like your hitch may have been mounted 2 far forward if your having that issue.
