B&W Patriot 5th wheel hitch questions

I'm looking into replacing my hitch this year and i'm considering the B&W Patriot series. I currently have the Reese 15K Pro and it has been trouble free but the "sliding bar" that locks it seems loose and rattily. My questions are... is the B&W a good stout hitch and it uses a 2 jaw clamp around the king pin, is that better? Will the B&W drop right in on my Reese rails, it looks like it will? Kinda looking for input from some other B&W owners or possibly some recommendations.

Great hitch...great American company giving great customer service...

    Regards
  • I'm a first timer and I've got a B&W companion. I'm assuming that it's close to a B&W Patriot. Quality product. It's idiot proof. I love it. As a matter of fact we just hooked up today and put a few miles on the tires after sitting for awhile and my wife couldn't believe how simple it was to hook up. No blue air!! I haven't owned any other hitch, so I have nothing to compare mine to, but the B&W is my first and probably my last hitch. IMHO.

You will love the quality. It is very solid with no clunking. Never have seen a damaged bed with a B&W hitch in the bed. No need to do a pull test. tweetys.com is a good place to buy.

I understand people who love a product and will fight to the death that "it's the best product ever made" blah blah but making "rediculas and dangerous" statements is where I draw the line. I have seen the B&W and how it operates. Telling someone to "skip the pull test" is putting people at risk and is irresponsible! it sends the wrong message to everyone !

It is really nice I agree.

I went from a RBW to the B&W it really is DA CHIT!

I just want people to compare before they just buy any ol hitch.

B&W makes an excellent hitch. I have the Companion, and it is very sturdy and well built. If you go that way you won't regret it due to quality.

    Same here.
