If only that were true. The DMV in Bakersfield (biggest in the county) didn't know where or what the test was until they called an office in Sacramento. Took over 30 minutes to figure it out. If all the folks around here that tow 5ers over 15,000 got their proper license that particular office would be more prepared. They do lots of trucks just not many non-comm. I have heard the same story from many folks in person and on this very forum.
Yes, DMV obviously knows about it but apparently some offices are not as well trained as others.
