calling all 2500hd owners!

Curious as to what everyone is getting for bed clearance. Im having a heck of a time. If you dont mind post your truck, hitch,clearance and if your level or nose up.Thanks

  • Its not just GM trucks, Ram's are just as high if not higher. F250's seem to squat a lot these days but are still high compared to some of the older trucks

    You need 5-6" clearance minimum then you have to raise the trailer from there to get level. Your other option (which some have done) is to put drop shackles on the rear of the truck. The downside is your truck will likely be nose high when hitched up. You solve one problem to create another. Good times...

  • I have a appointment next Wednesday to have my leaf spring hanger bolt drop from the top hole to the bottom. Hopefully I can get the inch I need by doing this. The guy wants $130 to do it. Sound like a fair price?

    I had to lift the trailer 1.5" and I'm still probably 2" nose high. About 6"-6.5" clearance.

  • While I can guess based on your username, it might help to include the trailer model and year as well. The truck is only half of the equation.
